Erasmus Mundus Mechatronic and Micro-Mechatronic Systems (EU4M)
Duration 2 years
Partner universities (Consortia)
Karlsruhe University of Applied Sciences, Germany (Co-ordinating Institution)
University of Oviedo, Spain
Course Description
Course Description
Mechatronic and also Micro-Mechatronic Systems cover the development and also the maintenance of systems which consist of a very high level of complexity (cars, airplanes, space laboratories, micro-laboratories, mobile communication systems, self adaptive systems and robotics).
During the program, you will work one year on universities in two different countries: Karlsruhe (Germany), Besançon (France) and Gijón (Spain). Lectures are given in the local languages French, German and/or Spanish. Language learning and integration into the society is supported by our successful TandemPlusSystem, where each third country student will work together with one local/european student and his mentor, a local professor. During the First Year at each institution identical lessons are given to bring the students up to the same level of knowledge. The Second Year has to be studied at one of the two other institutions. The theoretical lessons are given in combination with practical trainees in co-operation with industry and research centers. There will be an approximate supervision ratio of students by professors of 1.
During your thesis work you will meet and work with professionals from various backgrounds and gather knowledge on a wide range of issues involved, you will also get a comprehensive EU perspective on mechatronic related technologies. This will help you develop a coherent and integrated approach that is applicable to a more global perspective as well.
Scholarship
EU scholarships for selected "third-country" graduate students will be available. Third country graduate students are nationals from a third country other than those from EU Member States, EEA-EFTA States and candidate countries for accession to the European Union.
